Lightbulb is a free AI business-plan generator at lightbulb.wtf. Type a one-line business idea and it returns a one-page plan in about a minute — a plain-English summary, a comparison with a well-known company, and a nine-section business canvas with real organisations to contact. Paid tiers add an editable working plan and weekly AI-guided next steps.

How does Lightbulb work?

You type in your business idea — one sentence is enough — and Lightbulb (lightbulb.wtf) generates a one-page plan in about a minute. The plan has four summary sections (Market, Business Model, Customer, Risk), each with short strength and weakness tags, plus a working name for the business.

Every plan includes a comparison with one well-known company whose model is closest to yours: what they proved, how a self-funded path compares with their funded path, and specific ways to compete from a small base. You then get a nine-section business model canvas — customer segments, value proposition, channels, customer relationships, revenue streams, key resources, key activities, key partners and cost structure — where each section names real organisations, tools and communities with links and suggested first actions.

No account is needed for your first plan, and you can share any plan as a public read-only page.

How much does Lightbulb cost?

The free tier generates one full one-page plan per day, with no sign-up required. It includes the summary, the named-company comparison and the complete nine-section canvas.

Canvas costs £5 per month and turns the plan into an editable working plan: you can rewrite section descriptions, request fresh AI suggestions that preserve your edits, and track progress across the canvas. Momentum is a £7.50 per month add-on to Canvas (£12.50 per month in total) that adds a weekly momentum plan — three ordered next actions, a specific person to meet, a drafted outreach message and a four-week roadmap — plus a weekly AI review of what you actually did.
